March 20, 201511-12th grade students will visit Ave Maria University9th and 10th grade students will visit Keiser University
AVID in the NEWS
On March 20, 2015; 45 Labelle high school AVID students traveled to local universities for their annual college visits. Students went to Keiser or Ava Maria University with the intention of gaining a deeper perspective of these campus culture, academics, and future expectations. What students did not expect during their visit was the history and program of studies offered at these institutions to be robust. Students had no idea that Keiser would offer over 97 programs of study. Nor did the students expect to find Ava Maria University to be a learning institution still on the rise in terms of population and course of studies. In case you did not know, AVID students are placed in a rigorous course of study curriculum (AP/ Honors classes) and provided rich and meaningful methods to help these students be college ready learners.
