At the end of the school year each year, grades will be evaluated to determine eligibility. Students who have achieved the necessary 3.5 or higher CUMULATIVE grade point average (GPA), will move to the next step which includes verifying that they passed all required standardized testing in the previous school year. Students who meet this requirement will be issued a letter of invitation to apply for membership. This letter asks the student to provide proof of service hours and teacher letters of recommendation. Upon receipt of these items by the designated deadline, which is a firm deadline after which no applications will be accepted, the students' applications will be further evaluated and a decision made regarding each student's potential for membership. Eligible students will be notified by letter of their having met the requirements and invited to attend the new member induction.
