Parents may call the Clewiston Area Assistant Superintendent's office for information regarding Home Education at 863-902-4244.
A letter from the parent stating their intent to home school is forwarded to the District Home Education office. Information to be included in the letter of intent is the child's name, date of birth, mailing address, physical address, and telephone number. If the child is currently enrolled in a Hendry County Public School, the parent should withdraw their child from school. Once the Home Education office receives the letter of request for home education enrollment, a letter of approval including home education information is mailed to the parent.
Home Education students are required to be evaluated annually for academic progress by a certified teacher or standardized test. Results of this evaluation should be sent to the District Home Education office:Hendry County School DistrictHome Education Program Office435 E. Circle DriveClewiston, Fl. 33440
