Mr. Bryan Poepperling "Pep"

Mr. Bryan Poepperling teaches Advanced Placement United States History and United States History to our sophomores and juniors. He is the Social Studies Department lead teacher. Mr. Poepperling coaches Cross Country and the Boys Junior Varsity Basketball. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and Social Studies. Mr. Poepperling is married to the fantastic Mrs. Kristie Poepperling.

Ms. Amanda McCarthy

Ms. Amanda McCarthy teaches World History and ESOL to all of Clewiston High School’s scholars.

She is dedicated teacher who assists with our afterschool program. Ms. McCarthy was born in Michigan and graduated summa cumme laude from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. She employed by the U.S. government and nonprofit organizations in D.C. before starting her education career. Ms. McCarthy has taught in Madrid, Spain and Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa before coming to Clewiston.


Ms. McCarthy's teaching philosophy is to Make my classroom a safe space where diverse identities and abilities are celebrated and accomplishments are differentiated between individual learners.  This atmosphere will set high expectations while giving each scholar opportunities to succeed. Giving scholars a voice, modeling respect, and drawing from the wealth of learner's knowledge will help create authentic learning experiences.

Mr. Carmelo Rindone

Mr. Carmelo Rindone teaches World History and Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID) to all Clewiston High School Tigers. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. Mr. Rindone joined the Army at 17 years old and completed four years of active duty service. He enlisted in the Army National guard while attending college for an education degree. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2016 and moved to Clewiston, Florida to escape the cold of the north. He loves to hike and watch Yankee baseball...Go Yankees!

Mr. Willie Lee

My name is Willie Lee. He Has been a teacher at Clewiston High School for 33 years. Coach Lee was born and raised in Clewiston. He graduated from Clewiston High School in 1980. He Played Basketball from 1976 to 1980. After graduating from Clewiston, Coach Lee attended Edinboro State College in Edinboro, PA.  Lee played basketball at Edinboro for 4 years. After graduating for The Boro, Coach Lee returned his hometown Clewiston. I am happy to be a grandpa. I am glad to a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Ms. Monica Deittrick

Ms. Deittrick has been teaching social studies at Clewiston High School since 2014. She is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan where she studied secondary education, and graduated from Western Michigan University. While in college she worked her way up to a sous chef position which gave her a love for cooking. She also loves to travel and explore the world to bring real life experiences back into her classroom.

Mr. Kurt Stahl

Mr. Kurt Stahl teaches American Government and Economics. He has earned Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Wittenberg University. He has also earned a Master's degree in Education from The Ohio State University. Mr. Stahl was born in a small town in NW Ohio; served two years in the U.S. Navy as an Operations Specialist before using the GI Bill to return to school to earn his Master's degree. 

Mr. Stahl's teaching philosophy is "Although there are many wonderful slogans out there regarding educational philosophy, I sometimes feel we overdo it. When it comes to your education, NIKE may have summed it up best. Just do it!"

Mr. Ivan Denhartog

Mr. Ivan DenHartog teaches Social Studies to our Freshmen and Reading to our Sophomores. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in Leander, Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Baylor University and a Master’s in Education from the University of Missouri. Mr. DenHartog coaches Varsity Football. He loves going on hikes with his wife and their 2 dogs.
