Mission Statement
The mission of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialists is to strive for excellence in education through collaborative partnerships with schools, teachers, service providers, parents, and students. ESE Specialists provide all possible support and assistance to schools and educators to ensure that students with disabilities demonstrate increased participation and performance in the standard or Access curriculum and statewide assessments. ESE Specialists support and assist schools in special education practices and alignment to The Individuals with Disabilities Act, Federal, and State educational requirements.

Hello, my name is Crystal Rodriguez, I was born and raised in Florida, so yes I am 100% a Florida Girl. My position with Hendry County School District is that of an ESE (Exceptional Student Education) Staffing Specialist. This is my 18th year in public education, and my 22nd year in the education field. I have a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education, Masters in Special Education both from Barry University and a Masters in Ed. Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University. I am currently working on a Doctorate degree in General Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, to enhance my skills and knowledge in the area of human relations. My most honored title is Special Olympics School District Coordinator; this title is not a job it is a joy and a blessing. My favorite quote is the Special Olympic motto “Let me win. But if I can’t win, let me be brave in the attempt.” - Eunice Kenndy Shriver.
Alice McVay
My name is Alice McVay. I am currently an ESE specialist for Hendry County. I have worked in the public school sector for 20 years. During this time, I have taught prekindergarten, elementary and high school students. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Masters degree in Education from Southeastern University. One of my favorite quotes is from Colin Powell, "What could be more important than equipping the next generation with the character and competence they need to become successful?"

My name is FeLinda Langdale and I was born and raised in Clewiston and moved to Moore Haven shortly after graduation. I received my Bachelors in Exceptional Student Education as well as my Masters in Educational Leadership at Florida Gulf Coast University. I started my educational journey as a substitute teacher in 1997 and worked my way up. I have been a paraprofessional, ESE Teacher, Cheerleading Coach, Varsity Boys Soccer coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal. I have 3 wonderful children that have blessed me with 5 amazing grandchildren. "The best way to predict your future is to create it." -Abraham Lincoln
