Welcome to Country Oaks Elementary! We believe in family and building relationships to support each and every student. Teachers are the most important part of your child's education, and we have the best. This coming year we will begin our third year with the Leader in Me program, which means students are expected to be leaders and take charge their learning. Students deserve a quality education, and we want them to understand that they are an intregal part of making that happen. Students are develop a sense of pride, as they chart their own progress and set personal goals. Our teachers work incredibly hard to reinforce positive behavior and reward hard work throughout the year. I believe that it has become a positive part of our school culture.

As always, we encourage parents to be an active part of their child's education. Our success depends on your support. I know that life can be hectic, but taking a few minutes to read to your child and discuss their day will help you both unwind and create memories you will cherish forever. We will continue our monthly PTO meetings on the third Thursday of the month. We usually present information on current events, or share ways parents can help from home.

I look forward to continuing to work with you and your children. Thank you for trusting us with your child's education. My door is always open, if you have any questions about your child's education.

    Go Colts!

I am thrilled to begin my third year as Assistant Principal at Country Oaks Elementary "Leadership Academy" and continue to serve the children, parents and community of LaBelle. We have many new aspirations, goals and ideas planned that we cannot wait to kick off and share with you for the new school year.

Our school is entering the fourth year of the Leader in Me journey and that means we are continuing to build more opportunities that empower students to lead their own behavior and learning. New opportunities this year include each student keeping an academic data notebook where they will write their personal mission, their WIGs (Wildly Important Goals), and their progress towards those WIGs. As a leader myself, I will post my own mission statement in the near future to set the example for our students and as a part of my personal accountability to that mission.

We invite you to join us on this important journey with your child this school year, because your partnership is so important to their success. Whether it is reading with your child at home, coming to a school event, helping them with homework, talking with them about their school day or continually communicating with their teacher, the power of you being involved in their education can move mountains on their path to success.

My door is always open and I am not hard to find. I look forward to working with you to unleash the magic in each of your children as they develop into the leaders of tomorrow.
